As someone who has known Southie for decades, I was thrilled by Lindsay-Adaire's portrayal of Southie women: how quick-witted, resilient, ferociously loyal to family, proud, no-nonsense, and "smaht" they can be. These qualities are called on all too often because these women have known more than their fair share of adversity. The play poignantly captures the fallout caused by our class-based society. It's lessons are completely authentic to Southie, but the themes apply equally to people who are struggling with poverty everywhere. A brilliant play, expertly performed. Thank you Huntington!
