What Audiences Are Saying About GOD OF CARNAGE

Have you seen God of Carnage? Please share your comments with us.

  • What do you think happens after the curtain goes down? Do the Raleighs bring their their son to apologize to the Novaks'? What happens next between the adults?
  • Playwright Yasmina Reza weaves many symbols into her script, and scenic designer Dane Laffrey teases some of them out through his design. What symbols and scenic elements held meaning for you?
  • Did you attend a post-show conversation? What comments surprised you or made you think differently about the play? Would you attend a post-show conversation again? What were you thinking about on the way home from the theatre?

The Huntington Theatre Company's presentation of God of Carnage plays now through February 5, 2012 only at the B.U. Theatre. Get tickets and information or call our Box Office at 617 266 0800.

Saw the production last night. Laughed and laughed. And ... thought and thought. Thank you Huntington!

God of Carnage was energetic, witty, shocking, and fun! However, I'm kind of scared of having kids now...

I enjoyed God of Carnage enormously. It was witty and smart from start to finish. Not easy laughs but complicated, intelligent laughs that involved me in the true pathos of the situation. The cast was perfect. All of them were new to me but I hope to see them again on Boston stages. And more plays from this playwright please!

We saw the replacement cast on Broadway after our scheduled performance of the original was canceled because of Gandolfini's illness a year earlier. We went because we like Yasmina Reza. The Huntington production we saw Sunday night was so much better than the one in NYC. Wonderful set and staging, and simply brilliant acting by the quartet. To read yesterday that Day broke her hand the day before was stunning. The chemistry on stage was so good nothing could diminish it. We were not excited about seeing this play again so soon, but you made it a season highlight!

I had the pleasure of seeing “God of Carnage” on January 8. A week or so later, I saw the film starring Jodi Foster, Kate Winslet, John C. Reilly and Christoph Waltz (sp?). I had wondered if it might be even better with these big stars. What I found was that I enjoyed the live performance so much more. The actors at the Huntington are superb and were funnier. The scenery was even better – no bean bag chair in the film- the theater apartment was better in total.

Thank you for this wonderful production.

A fabulous ensemble having a great time and acting up a storm, and in the process giving an empty, pseudo-intellectual play a strong production. Reza's piece is a Jerry Springer spectacle, not a play. The characters have no real motivation, but boy does the piece give the actors a chance to put on a show.
